DO YOU ALREADY KNOW ABOUT OUR SOCIAL AND SUSTAINABILITY ACTIONS?

We are committed to Futurecom having a positive impact on people and the planet. We want to play a key role in helping the entire construction community improve its own sustainability by connecting people with the networks and knowledge they need to help solve the big challenges of the future.

Sustainability at Futurecom

Futurecom, the largest B2B platform for content and networking in the realm of technology, innovation, and connectivity in Latin America, has been driving the market for over 30 years with exhibitions, interactive experiences, debates, and networking, as well as demonstrations of the impacts of technology applications in virtually all economic sectors. It recognizes the importance of sustainability in its activities. For us, sustainability is a commitment to the present and future, reflecting our responsibility to contribute to a world that is environmentally responsible, socially just, and economically viable.
In a dynamic and innovative sector like technology and connectivity, we face significant sustainability challenges, such as carbon emissions associated with operations and technological infrastructure. However, we see these challenges as opportunities to innovate, seek efficient solutions, and promote more sustainable practices.
Futurecom aims to be a platform to discuss and address these challenges, inspiring participants to adopt sustainable practices in their respective technological production chains.By joining forces during events, we seek to strengthen a transformative movement in the industry, collectively building a sustainable future.

As part of our commitment, we are focused on three pillars of sustainability:

.

Quality education
Sustainable cities and communities.
Gender equality
Partnerships and means of implementation.
Industry, innovation, and infrastructure.
  • Reduction of printed materials, with these being FSC certified;
  • Interactive map available on the Futurecom Digital Platform, replacing the printed pocket map;
  • Use of LED bulbs in the pavilion and Informa spaces, and optimization of air conditioning usage to decrease energy consumption;
  • Selective waste collection and environmentally correct disposal of all waste generated at the event;
  • Service Areas (Exhibitor Support, Registration, and VIP Area) set up with modular and reusable structures.

  • We support Safrater initiatives throughout the year, including the partnership with Conexão Massagens, which offers services during the event and donates 10% of the proceeds to Safrater.
  • Motorized wheelchairs are provided for accessibility at the event.
  • Free shuttle vans available from strategic points, as well as alternative parking (Shopping Plaza Sul) with shuttle service to the pavilion.

Better Stands is a program by Informa Markets, the organizer of Futurecom, aimed at achieving zero waste from stands by 2030. The initiative encourages exhibiting companies to abandon the use of disposable (single-use) stands and prioritize the use of reusable structures.

By making their stand designs sustainable, builders and exhibitors will be recognized with Gold, Silver, and Bronze seals on their stands during Futurecom.

Imagine an event where brands and sustainability come together, offering an even more memorable experience for your customers.

This is already a reality with the Better Stands Program, which provides a sustainable solution to replace disposable booths—responsible for over 60% of all event waste—with reusable stands, building a greener and more inspiring future.

With the Better Stands Program, exhibitors create more than just a booth. They gain:

Sustainability: Reduced environmental impact and a demonstrated commitment to the planet.
Efficiency: Optimized resources and time, with faster setup and teardown.
Customization: A unique space that reflects the brand and delights customers.
Brand Image: Enhanced reputation as a responsible and sustainable company.

To be a Better Stand, a booth must be reusable, meaning it should generate no waste.

Designed for 2030, this final level incorporates all elements of the Bronze and Silver levels, adding graphics, decorative items, and flooring to ensure zero waste generation.

Scheduled to be achieved by 2027, this level, in addition to including all elements of the Bronze level, requires that all structural objects, front and overhead signage, ceiling, and display stands be reusable.

This level involves the construction of stands where components, including walls, floors, furniture, equipment, and lighting, are 100% reusable, to be achieved at all Informa Markets events by next year.

Participation in the Better Stands program benefits the entire events market. The most important benefit is that adopting reusable structures will drastically reduce waste generation and, consequently, the environmental impact of events.
